Introduction
iDefend is an INVISUS program. We at INVISUS, LLC (“INVISUS”, “iDefend”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and our affiliates are committed to the privacy and security of your personal information as part of our essential mission to protect our customers from cyber risks including unauthorized access to protected data.
This Privacy Policy describes how we process and handle personal data provided in connection with your use of our products, services, apps, and websites (we refer to these collectively as our “Services”).
Information We Collect
To provide our services, we collect information. Some information you provide directly to us, some we collect through our Services, and some is collected from third parties. In this Policy “Personal Data” refers to data that could be used, alone or in combination with other data, to identify you as an individual.
Personal data you may provide
The types of Personal Data you may provide us includes:
- Contact information. Such as name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
- Identity information. Such as Social Security number, date of birth and other information.
- Account login information. Such as username, password, security questions and social network credentials.
- Payment information. Including payment card or bank account numbers and associated identifiers, billing address, and bank account information.
- Support communications. Including information you volunteer when you communicate with us via email, phone, or chat for support or to inquire about our services, including when you fill out an online form, post comments online, or participate in forums.
Additional data we may collect
We also may collect additional data if you choose to use one of the products or features listed below.
- Device security and support. We may collect information about the computer, mobile device or other equipment such as wi-fi routers, printers and gaming systems for which you are requesting security or technical support services, including device identifiers, operating system versions, application version numbers, and internet service provider information.
- Credit monitoring. If you use our credit monitoring services we may collect limited credit-related information to provide alerts, reports, and other credit related services.
- Personal data privacy and removal. If you choose to use this feature, we will regularly scan a list of publicly available data broker sites and remove your personal information. We may collect additional information such as phone numbers, addresses, names of relatives, and information related to your education and employment to provide you with this service. This data is only displayed to you and is deleted if you choose to discontinue the Services.
- Financial account monitoring. To monitor financial accounts for suspicious fraud activity, we will collect information such as account numbers and names of financial institutions.
- Social media monitoring. To monitor social media accounts, we may collect login credentials in order to assist you in installing monitoring tools and programs.
Information we receive or collect from third parties
We may receive information about you from other sources, including third parties for whom we are a service provider or marketing partner. This includes updated payment information used to correct our records.
Information collected from websites and cookies
INVISUS may collect certain information by automated means when you interact with our web pages and Services. As is true with most companies, INVISUS uses various technologies including “cookies” and related technologies such as pixel tags, software development kits, IP addresses, browser types, referring/exit pages, and other clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate to improve and enhance our web sites. Our service providers (such as analytics providers) may also place cookies and similar technologies on the Services.
How We Use Your Information
We collect and use your information only as necessary to fulfill the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy.
- To provide, operate, and maintain our Services. We use the Personal Data you provide to fulfill our monitoring, alert, security, and support services.
- To improve our Services. We use your information to help ensure the optimal delivery of our Services and communications to our customers and service providers, and for the measurement, research and analysis of our Services including the planning and development of new features and enhancements.
- For billing purposes. We use your information in order to perform billing administration and process payments.
We may also use your information to contact you for promotional purposes, to tell you about products, services, and events we believe may be of interest to you.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information
We do not sell your Personal Data. However, we may disclose your information to certain third parties as set forth below.
- Third-party service providers. We may disclose the information we collect to service providers in order to provide some aspects of our services such as processing payments, delivering marketing content, identity and credit monitoring, social media monitoring, identity theft recovery services, online personal data removal, and other Services. In cases where we may share your Personal Data, we enter into appropriate confidentiality and data security agreements with these third parties, review their security practices, and limit information sharing to the scope of what they do.
- Affiliates and partners. We may provide your Personal Data to affiliates and marketing partners to confirm your eligibility for joint or co-branded offers or administer such offers. Our partners are not allowed to use any data including personal data that they receive from us for any purpose except for communicating, evaluating, improving, and administering the offer in question. This will not affect the partner’s ability to use personal data that it may already have obtained from you or other sources. If you do not wish to receive promotional emails from our partners, you can unsubscribe directly using the unsubscribe link or tool provided in the partner’s email or other communication to you.
- Business transfers. If a substantial corporate transaction occurs such as changes to ownership or control of all or part of our services, assets, or business, sale of a website, reorganization, initial public offering, or investment, then we may share the data we collect in connection with that transaction.
- Legal requirements. We share Personal Data as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request including valid law enforcement requests relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity that may expose INVISUS, you, or any of our affiliates, partners and third-party service providers to legal liability.
- With your request and consent. Some services may require additional registration and account setup using your Personal Data. If you choose to register an account with our assistance, or by using a third-party account (such as your Google or Microsoft account), we will share information with the third-party account provider with your consent.
How We Protect Your Information
We follow generally accepted regulatory and industry standards in connection with our data collection, storage, and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your Personal Data.
We maintain an array of physical, technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information upon collection and in storage and transit. Should these measures fail to prevent a data breach, we will promptly take the necessary breach response measures, including remediation and notification as required by applicable law.

Individual Rights With Personal Data
In accordance with applicable law in your country and state of residence, you may have certain legal rights in relation to your Personal Data we collect and maintain on your behalf, subject to certain limitations and exceptions, including:
- Request confirmation of whether we are processing your Personal Data
- Obtain access to or a copy of your Personal Data
- Receive a portable copy of your Personal Data
- Request the correction or amendment of any inaccurate, incomplete, or improperly processed Personal Data.
- Restrict our processing of your Personal Data
- Object to our processing of your Personal Data
- Request erasure of your Personal Data held by us, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law.
If you would like to exercise any of these rights, you may submit your request at privacy@invisus.com. We will process such requests in accordance with applicable laws. To protect your privacy, we may take steps to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. For some requests and where permitted by law, an administrative fee may be charged. We will advise you of any applicable fee prior to performing your request.
You may be able to exercise some of these rights by using the settings and tools provided in our Services. For example, you may be able to update your user account details via account settings in our apps. You can opt out from receiving marketing communications from us by clicking an “unsubscribe” link in such communications.
Data Retention
We generally retain your Personal Data for as long as is needed to provide the services to you, or for as long as you have an account with us. We may also retain personal data if required by law, or for our legitimate interests, such as abuse detection and prevention, enforcing our agreements, and defending ourselves from legal claims. Residual copies of personal data may be stored in backup systems for a limited period as a security measure to protect against data loss.
In the event you close your account in connection with the Services, your account will be deactivated in our system, and your Personal Data and related alerts, reports and history will no longer be accessible to you.
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to and are not intended for use by minors under the age of 18. INVISUS does not knowingly collect Personal Data from minors when administering our services.
Some iDefend child protection services may be accessed by minors. These features require parental consent and may require the parent or guardian to provide their child’s Personal Data and/or device information. The data we collect is only used to deliver the Services. Parents can delete their child’s profile at any time.
If we discover that we have collected personal data from a minor without appropriate consent, we may delete such data without notice. If you believe a minor has provided personal information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian may contact us by emailing us at privacy@invisus.com.
Linked Websites
Our websites and Services may contain links to other websites for your convenience and information. Linked websites may have their own privacy policies or notices, which we strongly suggest you review if you visit those websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or the misuse of personal information provided by you at websites not affiliated with INVISUS.
Notification of Changes
We may revise this policy from time to time. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices. We will put the ‘Last Updated’ date at the top of each policy. If you disagree with an update to this policy, you may cancel your account. If you do not cancel your account before the date the update becomes effective, your continued use of our services will be subject to the updated Privacy Policy.
